PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE DOVELAND STARS
WOW!!! We made it! As the school year comes to a close, our minds and hearts are
filled to the brim. It's been an incredible year! What a school!
Together we have learned much and shared experiences that will long remain
with us in the years to come. The wholehearted passion to make our school a
wonderful place of learning for our children primarily but for all of us makes
Doveland High truly a special place.
Special thanks to all of you who have contributed in ways small, large and
unimaginable!
Students, you bring such joy and happiness to our school. We are truly
fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children at Doveland High
School. You have worked hours and hours on classwork, homework, special SHOLA KAREEM
projects, and succeeded time and time again, proving your character and PRINCIPAL
dedication to learning. You have touched this school by your presence.
Thank you parents for supporting our work immensely and providing the resources to do what we dream and know is good for
children. It has been my pleasure getting to know not only your child, but you as well. Having parental support and open lines of
communication is an essential part of any successful school year. We respect the sacrifices each family makes to send their
child/children to Doveland High School, and we will continue to put your child/children first in everything we do! This was a very
busy year and you, as partners in education, played a great role in making it a success! We are truly grateful.
All the achievements recorded this year would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of the staff. The
faculty team worked tirelessly putting forth new and innovative strategies to help students learn while the non-academic team
ensure that the school remains conducive for students learning. Your professionalism and tenacity is worth emulating. GO DHS!!!
To our Year 9 students who are preparing to embark on a new journey into Senior Secondary, I wish you success and greater
height but note this "that which you manifest is before you." (Garth Stein.) At this phase of your life, it is very important that you take
charge of your future, not to feel like you're a victim of circumstance or fate, but that you are an active participant in your future.
Where you choose to focus your time and energy, will directly impact what comes to you later in life.
I encourage you to work hard in school, set goals for your life, and stay focused on those goals. Keep your eyes on your goals and
don't let anyone or anything deter you from achieving them, “Your car goes where your eyes go.”
We are excited to see what fantastic things lay ahead for Doveland High School! Staff and students thank you for a wonderful year.
I hope you have a fantastic summer.
