Welcome to the 2020-2021 District III M&T Bank Fall Championship Series.
I am pleased to enter my second school year as PIAA District III Chairman. Celebrating the Success of Student
Athletes in South Central Pennsylvania
It is always fulfilling to work for the benefit of our schools’ student-
athletes. We have a great team of dedicated people serving on the District Table of Contents (click on page for link)

About PIAA District III ......................... 4
This year has been the most challenging year in recent memory for school districts – and School enrollments/classifications ..... 5

illness. The virus has disrupted the flow of daily life for many people, including those About the Power Rankings ................. 6

reach this point where our students are able to engage in PIAA post-season action. We are PIAA Championship Brackets ............ 30

We realize that our decisions, including reducing the number of qualifiers to our fall sports Student Awards ................................ 40
championships, do not please everyone. We had to make all of our decisions based on
the welfare of our student-athletes while still providing the district and PIAA competition
they have come to expect.
At all times during this ever-changing process of determining our playoffs, we tried to be
as fair and as equitable to all schools in our district. That is always one of our most im-
portant goals in PIAA District III.
We wish that this year’s championship series was no different than in years past, contests that fully involved not just athletes, but
other students, spectators and the community at-large. Reducing the number of qualifiers and the spectators who observe the
contests has been frustrating for all.
But we did what was required by the extraordinary circumstances presented to us. While many people cannot attend our champi-
onships as they freely could in the past, we hope that our new online programs and school-based online coverage of our events will
enable people to engage with our athletes this fall, even from afar.
Thank you for supporting our student-athletes in District III.
