Level III Phase 2
The project was approved and confirmed during the first quarter BOT meeting on
March 2020. It so happened that in the middle of the month, President Duterte declared

a strict home quarantine because of the Covid-19 pandemic where most of the provinces

restrict the mobility of its people. With this, the project did not push-through and all lined-
up extension activities for the year 2020 were put into halt.

It was in the mid of the year 2021, the time when the Province of Zamboanga del
Sur allowed small-group gatherings and eased community restrictions, the team tried to

go back to the barangay with the hope of reviving and continuing the project. Fortunately,

the Barangay Captain welcomed the group once again and eager to continue with what
have been started. The faculty had attended and make an audience to the barangay

officials during their council session for the possible implementation of extension activity
under the new normal on August 6, 2021. It was decided to have the first training -

workshop on the second Friday of September. However, the project was put into halt for
the second time because of the increasing number of Covid-19 (Delta variant) cases and

deaths in the municipality.

The extension director advised the team to propose again the project for
implementation on the following year since the allocated budget was already realigned

because it was not utilized for 2 years. Thus, the proposal was presented and approved
for implementation this year 2022.
