EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The J.H. Cerilles State College library is the heart of the Institution’s

work. The entire academic and research process is fully dependent on the

extensiveness of the library network. The JHCSC Library has a clear mission
to support the learning, teaching, extension, and research programs of the

Institution. Thus, It is a key factor in accomplishing the aims and objectives

of the College to provide quality education for service to the community it

serves.

Community with quality, innovative, and culture-sensitive programs.

JHCSC MISSION

Provides need-based tertiary and advanced programs in Agriculture,

Education and allied fields;
Undertakes applied research, extension and production services that

yield workable and durable solutions to sector specific challenges, thus

improving the socio-economic well-being of identified communities.

LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES

The key mission of the College Library is to support the teaching,

learning, research, extension service, and in the promotion of quality life of

the people of Zamboanga del Sur and in serving the ASEAN community. It is
committed to provide accessible, cost effective, and innovative information

services and programs.

The College Library exists to support the research, teaching and
curricular needs of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students of the JHCSC

community. It is committed to provide accessible, cost effective, and

innovative information services and programs. Other current and emerging

technologies will be provided as funding permits. User needs in the area of

library service will be assessed periodically, and materials and programs will
be provided to meet such needs.
