identify descendants of Cristobal Baca and
Ana Maria Ortiz, one of New Mexico’s
founding families to bring together families
and history for better health.

Sim Lopez had a CCM1 bleed and died due to seizures as this wasn’t diagnosed at the
time; Victoria Lopez Baca born in 1936, was 14 when she had seizures. At the time they Joyce Gonzales, Genealogist,
inserted a catheter into her brain. She will turn 83 in June, 2019. Carmen Lopez, is first
cousin to Sim, Victoria, and Lydia Lopez. She did not have CCM1. Lydia Lopez Pino is Baca Family Historical Project
sister to Sim and Victoria. She had CCM1. Her 1st episode happened in 2002 and she
died due to complications from CCM1 in 2012. Emilo did not have CCM1. Out of 12
