Little Island Park, Sandbridge Beach
Our advanced students were able to take a break and
enjoy the company of each other in the midst of God’s
Creation. Our Annual Sandbridge trip gives students the
opportunity to study a moving environment. They spent
the morning sketching the ocean waves, the hungry birds
and the fishing pier using the following mediums: graphite,
marker and watercolor pencil. The beach that day was
sunny, and the water was very choppy, which was abso-
lutely beautiful. After a few hours of sketching, some
students took advantage of the nice day and decided to
take a much needed nap on the beach. Others decided
that a game of tag on the playground was more appropri-
ate. Around noon, students began packing up, making
sure that we left the beach as clean as it was when we
arrived. For lunch, we went to Pungo Pizza. Here, we ate
the BEST GARLIC KNOTS EVER, cinnamon knots and of
course ... pizza. After getting very full, we made the
forty-five minute drive back to school. The Art Tech
students will be taking their sketches and creating digital
art inspired by stained glass.
