會意字 Associative compounds
huì yì zì
會意字：把兩個或兩個以上的象形字組合在一
起，表示一個新的意思。
Associative compounds ：
Usually contains more than one element, and
the meaning of an associative compound is derived
from the combination of the contents.
字形演變：
小篆 楷體
1. 信：會意字，由人、言所組成。指人的言論應當是誠實的。
2. 信心：相信願望、理想必定實現的心理。
3. 信言不美，美言不信：可信的話不漂亮，漂亮的話不真實。這裡的「信」
有「誠實、不虛僞」之意。
4. 信息：此「信」同「訊」，訊息、消息的意思。
5. 掛號信：需收件人簽收，與一般平信相比較不容易遺失。
