1951 taxed government mail: 24-7-1951 government stationary cover ex Health Ministry in JERUSALEM to TLV mailed unfranked, postmarked with special
47th Anniversary of Herzl's Death cachet, taxed twice the DO-2 period letter rate (15pr) on arrival, b/s TLV-21 next day; slit open at top. Basic inland
government mail was free until 1 Feb. 1951 whereupon it was franked until 30 June 1952 when it resumed being free again.

1952 domestic taxed mail: 25-11-1952 cover ex RAMAT GAN to educational institute in TEL AVIV attempted to be sent at printed matter rate using manuscript notation
"study materials" on front, and franked 15pr per DO-3a period pm rate using 1950 3rd Coinage 5pr & 10pr (Ba42/43) - but as cover sealed, against pm regulations, it was
treated as a letter and charged twice the missing postage, marked on front by large black handstamp; opened at top.
