SHRIKANT RETIRES FROM HULC BUT NOT WORK

When Shrikant is around everything seems to fall in the right place. He is a "walking hand encyclopaedia", and always has an answer for everything, a helping hand to give, and a smile to offer. Needless to say, celebrating Shrikant’s retirement was certainly bittersweet to all of us that make up the Hand Therapy Dept. at
the Roth-McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb, a "road" Shrikant has "paved" for us with hard work over the past 25 years. It turns out that these feelings are far more common amongst those who have worked with or been mentored by Shrikant than we had thought. When we started thinking about Shrikant’s retirement party, we had no idea we would have so many “yes” RVSPs. The chosen venue was packed with people from out of town, colleagues from various institutions,
doctors, therapists, students, fellows, friends and family.
It was a memorable evening, full of great recognitions and demonstration of appreciation and love. Shrikant received many cards, gifts, and farewell messages.
