All is well at the Education Department. Happy New Year!
We are offering the USPS Weather Course via Zoom beginning Tuesday, January 12th, for ten consecutive Tuesday evenings, ending on March 16th. All classes will begin at 7:00 pm and last approximately two hours. The course covers weather theory, interpretation of weather charts and forecasting techniques, as well as marine weather hazards. We will also devote some time to the exploration of the National Weather Service (NWS) website. Cost for the textbook and materials is $50. To date, three Captree members have enrolled. There will be an additional small charge for expedited shipping of the materials.
