P. 8
I thought 2020 would be the year I got everything I wanted... Now I know 2020 is the year in which I appreciated everything I still have.
What a year! We all experienced it, lived it, and will always remember it. A year of cancelations including the vacations, the weddings, the rendezvous, the family gatherings, seeing a newborn baby for the first time, etc, etc, etc. A year of many disappointments.
Or was it? For me, it was a year of learning to appreciate everything we have. I think going forward I will appreciate the little things in life much more. It has been a rough year and having family and friends around us made it easier. Although they were not always physically here, it was just comforting to know we were in their thoughts and prayers.
So, we end this year appreciating everything we have, especially family and friends!
We know that 2021 will start out slowly and hopefully will begin to open up by the Spring.
We at Captree will continue to go with the flow and celebrate with a New Year’s celebration on January 8 via Zoom, starting at 7pm. Remember to wear your New Year’s hats and bring your noise makers. Let’s all celebrate together and wish for a GREAT 2021! Mike will send out a link for this Zoom event and hopefully all members will attend.
As far as 2021’s calendar, it’s still up in the air. We will hang tight and go with the flow. The one thing about Captree, we can get a party together at the last minute and have a great time.
