Additional Important Preposition
In order for us to make proper sentences, it is important to get
familiar with certain basic prepositions.
on / about … ...לע
As mentioned before, most prepositions in Hebrew consist
actually of a prefix letter and become part of the
succeeding word.
However, the preposition לע does not become a part
(prefix) of the succeeding word, unless it is a pronoun.
Do not indulge in it right now, you will study use of
prepositions in detail in later sections.
Examples:
about Jerusalem םִיַל ָשוּרי ְׁ לַע
on us וני ּ ֵלָּע
Assignment:
1. Find the preposition ...לע in the “Shalom” song.
Copy those sentences and mark the prepositions.
2. Create sentences of your own using the prepositions ...לע
