Russia Pulls Out of Syria
Putin’s announcement, that he’s pulling the Russian forces out of Syria,
was surprising, and everything was seen on TV cameras. Not all Russian
forces leave Syria, but it changes the situation there. (The one) who was
alarmed by the announcement the most was President Assad, who thought
the Russians will safeguard him to the end. Now the question is how the
opposition will act, and whether the Iranians [will] decide to stay or leave
as well. There are several advantages and disadvantages for Israel in
Putin’s pulling out of Syria. After five years of war, we don’t know
whether the situation in Syria can get better, or just become worse.
