Dialogues – Unit 5
Act out from English.
Tali: Hello, I’m looking for a dress.
Seller: What kind of [which] dress, honey?
Tali: An elegant dress, though not too much, size 38.
Seller: I have a dress just for you. What do you say? It’s pretty, isn’t it?
Tali: I don’t know… I don’t like its sleeves.
Seller: Oh… and this dress?
Tali: Ummm… I don’t like its buttons.
Seller: And this one?
Tali: This one? I don’t know, it’s a little too long.
Seller: And this one?
Tali: Too short.
Seller: Ummm… I know!!! This one!
Tali: This?! This is a dress for grandmothers.
Seller: Really? I have a dress like this one. I wear it all the time.
Tali: Yeah… it’s very pretty… Well, even grandmothers dress well
[pretty]…
Daniel: What about this dress? It’s very pretty, not short and not long. Do you
want to try (it) on?
Tali Yes, I want to. Well, Daniel, how is it?
Daniel: Wow, you’re beautiful. Well, do you want it?
Tali Yes! I don’t believe it. That was really fast. Daniel, you’re my
shopping angel.
Daniel: Shopping angel? What’s that?
Tali Every woman has a shopping angel. She goes shopping with him, buys
a million clothes and her husband gets [is] angry.
Daniel: Oh, that… that’s not an angel, Tali. That’s a credit card.
