Avishag Semberg has done it again. The bronze medalist from the Tokyo
Olympics won the World Cup in taekwondo yesterday after defeating four
rivals and not losing even once. Semberg managed to win gold even
though she was injured in the hand already in the first battle. Another thing
that must have improved Semberg's mood yesterday was the victory of
her partner, taekwondo fighter Nimrod Kravitsky, in the gold medal at
that championship. Avishag and Nimrod have been a couple for almost
two and a half years. The last year has been the most dramatic in their
lives - at the end of two thousand and twenty they fell ill together in
Corona after returning from the European Championships. But while
Avishag managed to recover from the illness and then also do the
unbelievable and win a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, Nimrod lost
the final battle in the (Olympic) criteria competition and had to watch his
girlfriend star in Tokyo from TV. Avishag Semberg, with the gold medal
