                    Working and Travelling

Daniella Kurtz runs a business for business development and consulting.
She was born and raised in Austria, but over the past year she’s the
realization of the phrase ‘citizen of the world’. At the same time, she
continues working the whole time, advising clients via email, meeting
them mostly on Skype calls, and recently started establishing another
business, which she intends on managing mostly on the internet, so that
she can continue travelling. In recent years, tens of thousands of young
people around the world, among who are quite a few Israelis, joined the
trend of digital nomads – people who travel and work at the same time,
usually in professions for which the main requirement is a broadband
internet connection. David and Alex have been (living out of their)
suitcases in the past year as well; together they run a business for digital
marketing and are seeing the world at the same time. They don’t have a
regular schedule, or an office; every café can become a work station, every
Airbnb apartment is a potential home. And working hours are also being
reduced for leisure time. This lifestyle probably doesn’t suit everyone,
(you) have to find a career that you can manage by remote control, usually
as self-employed, and the main difficulty they report is distance from
family and friends. And still, they’re sure they’ll continue to travel, at least
in the near future.
