Binyan Hif'eel

General Structure

Infinitive Form

The infinitive form of Binyan Hif’eel always begins with ַהְל

and the last vowel is י.

So the sound pattern of Binyan Hif’eel is

L'HA...EE...

A...EE... are the core sound pattern vowels

Example:

to feel - שׁ ִג ְר י ַ הְל

Present Tense

In the present tense the first letter ל - of the infinitive is omitted and the

second letter ה is replaced by מ. The sound pattern remains the same.

Example: שׁיִג ְר ַמ שׁיִג ְר ַה ְל
