Binyan Hif'eel - Past Tense

In Binyan Hif’eel we omit the infinitive form prefix ְל, while maintaining

the sound pattern of the infinitive form:

שׁיִג ְר ַה שׁיִג ְר ַהְל

We then change the sound pattern to match the name of the Binyan –

Hif'eel:

…A...EE...  …EE…EE

To this basic "kernel" we add the corresponding suffixes, according to the

pronoun. As an example, let’s use the verb:

to feel – שׁיִג ְר ַהְל

שׁיִג ְרה ִ  שׁיִגרה ְ ַ  שׁיִג ְר ַהְל

Pronoun    
Suffix וּ ם ֵה ה ִ ה י א אוּה

+ וּ שׁיִג ְר ִה ה+ שׁיִג ְר ִה שׁיִג ְר ִה
Suffix 
וּשׁיִג ְר ִה ה ָשׁיִג ְר ִה שׁיִג ְר ִה

For the second chart, we use a slightly different “kernel”:
