At the Pet Shop – Part 1
Actor 1: Yoel, Yoel!
Actor 2: What’s wrong?
Actor 1: Yoel, what is this dog?
Actor 2: Oh, this is a cute dog.
Actor 1: A dog in the house?! No dog in the house is cute!
Actor 2: It’s a Labrador. It doesn’t do anything! It’s only a year old.
It’s very cute!
Actor 1: I don’t want a dog in the house! No one in the family
wants a dog in the house!
Actor 2: Inbar. Inbar wants a dog.
Actor 1: Maybe you and Inbar want a dog, but I don’t!
Actor 2: Michael wants a dog too. Orly, a dog is good for the
children. A dog is like a brother.
Actor 1: Maybe you and the children want a dog, but my sister is
afraid of dogs, she can’t come visit.
Actor 2: Come on, Orly, please…
Actor 1: My brother is also afraid of dogs, he can’t come visit, and
the grandchildren are afraid too!
Actor 2: Oh, come on. This is (such) a drama!
Actor 1: So without the big dog, this Barbardor.
Actor 2: It’s not a Barbardor, it’s a Labrador.
Actor 1: I don’t understand (anything) about dogs. Labrador,
Shmabrador… It’s big and I am afraid!
Actor 2: I understand. You are afraid of a big dog.
Actor 1: Yes, sure!
Actor 2: Orly, so… maybe a little dog?
Actor 1: Hmm… Okay, a little dog is okay.
Actor 2: Great. A little dog. Yes!
