Situations: That's Life – Unit 1
המחזת הסיטואציה:פעילות מסכמת בכיתה
Exercise 7: In pairs, translate the situation into Hebrew row by row. Together, try to
think of a solution. Then present the situation and the solution in front of your
classmates.
1 We have three children.
The eldest daughter is sixteen, the middle child is
2 twelve and the youngest child is ten.
The relationship between us and the kids is open
and warm.
3 The two boys share a room and the eldest daughter
has a separate room.
Lately we've noticed that the eldest daughter
4 closes her bedroom door.
She is the only one of the family members who
closes her bedroom door. This hurts me (my
5 feelings), and I feel as if she has secrets that she’s
keeping from us, and as if she is not part of the
family.
6 One day, I opened her door and came in.
My daughter was lying on her bed and reading a
7 book.
She got angry at me and told me that next time I
8 want to come into her room, I should knock on the
door first.
Her answer insulted me and I went out of the
9 room.
I don't know if I should talk to her about the issue,
10 and if she behaves as she should.
