What is the Best Job?

According to the income report, being a senior physician in Israel is well worth it. Out of the hundred top-
earners, ninety seven are doctors. In first place came an expert doctor of gynecology, with a salary of one
hundred and twenty seven thousand NIS a month; after him is the director of the department of women’s
health, an ophthalmology expert and an anesthesiology department chief. The seniors of the security branch
don’t have a reason to be ashamed of their wages either, which according to the data published today, went
up about four thousand NIS last year. Employees of monopolies, ports and the electric company for instance,
enjoyed a significantly higher than average salary last year as well. The Ashdod port registered an average
employee salary of twenty eight thousand NIS a month. The place of women is much less prominent on the
big earners’ list. Even though most employees are actually women, the average salary for women is about
four thousand NIS lower than that of men. Another data that requires improvement until the next report.
