into first grade and you will
be a student in school... Are
you happy?

Shira: A little happy, a little sad.
I'm happy to move into first
grade, but I'm sad that I
won't see my kindergarten
teacher anymore.

Dad: That is true. It really is a
little sad. But you will see
your kindergarten teacher
when you go visit in the
kindergarden. And you and
your friends will build
beautiful houses with the
Lego we have at home.
And besides, you will have
fun in first grade: You will
have a lot of new friends…

Shira: How do you know? Maybe
I won't have friends?

Dad: Of course you'll have
friends. You will be the
nicest girl in class and
everybody will be your friend.
