Complex Sentence
A complex sentence is made from an
independent clause and a dependent clause
joined together. The independent clause contains
a subject, a verb, and a complete thought.
Meanwhile, the dependent clause contains a
subject and a verb, but no complete thought.
Two or more sentences can be combined with a
subordinating conjunction that explains the
relationship between each idea.
I stay in the house because it rains.
