Monroeville Forest Street Sidewalk Improvement Project


                                      The Monroeville Forest Street Sidewalk project is located between South Washington
                                      Street and Monroe Street (0.33 miles).  Forest Street is a local road consisting of
                                      two travel lanes (one lane in each direction) with a 20 mph posted speed limit. The
                                      proposed improvements include: adding new sidewalks on both sides of the street
                                      and milling and resurfacing, rehabilitation of the existing pavement by milling and
                    GRABILL           resurfacing with MHA pavement, construction of new concrete curb and gutter on
                                      both sides of the pavement, construction of new concrete curb face sidewalk and
                                      new ADA curb ramps, and reconstruction of existing concrete drive approaches,
                    HARLAN            Rehabilitation of the existing storm inlet, manhole structures and pipes.
                                      Impact:
                   HOAGLAND           •   Provides improved pedestrian connectivity, accessibility and safety in and
                                       between neighborhoods near downtown and the Monroeville Community Park.
                                      •   Provides connectivity to proposed Monroe Street Corridor Improvements.
                LEO-CEDARVILLE        •  Part of community-wide walkability improvements.
                                      •   Implements recommendations from the Monroeville ADA Transition Plan and
                 MONROEVILLE           Strategy 6.5 of the New Allen Strategic Investment Plan, 2016.

                                      Readiness:
                  NEW HAVEN           •   10% local match funding committed.
                                      •   Preliminary engineering completed.
                  WOODBURN            •   Environmental red flag survey: No significant environmental issues anticipated.
                                      •   No permitting needed.
                                      •   No right-of way-acquisition needed.
                                      •   Income Survey Needed.  Current community-wide census LMI is at 48%.

                                      Budget: $418,079

                                      Funding Partners:                                         The proposed improvements include adding
