City Serve—
CROSS Missions
The second week in July, 28
youth and seven mentors travelled to
Charlotte, NC to be a part of Myers
Park Presbyterian Church’s urban
outreach ministry – CROSS Missions.
During this week-long mission
trip, our middle and high school youth
experienced what is was like to "Live
out Love" as they participated in a
variety of opportunities to work with
and learn from "our neighbors of
Charlotte" (those who are homeless, in
recovery, require additional support
because of mental and/or physical
disabilities, etc.). We read to
impoverished children, played
volleyball with men recovering from a
myriad of addiction, and helped the
elderly with yard work, to name a few.
Subsequently, youth participated in a
variety of daily devotions, worship,
and important "break outs" where all
reflected on the day and grew not only
SUNDAY SCHOOL
with each other, but in Christ.
All participants also met at
Sissy Perryman's Uncle and Aunt's CLASSROOM NUMBERS
house for a home-cooked dinner. A
week of love, laughter, tears, as well as
