          Letter From Our Leader

          Reverend Becky Albright

          Dear Friends:

Several years ago, First Presbyterian made the decision to change the name of the

Christian Education Committee to Spiritual Formation Committee. The reason for the change is to

keep us mindful of God’s grace as we continue to be formed in Christ, regardless of our stage of life.
The Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives is always forming and transforming us to Jesus Christ in and

          through our community of faith.

By working hard, we continue to increase our knowledge of Biblical information and historical facts –

but there is more. Becoming Christ-like is a process that continues throughout our lives, as we explore

and imitate how Christ lived and what Christ did, as Christ interacted with others.

Adult spiritual formation opportunities are available through a variety of classes offered on Sunday
mornings, Wednesday evenings and other times throughout the week. Please review the class opportuni-

ties available in the Spiritual Formation Brochure, make your choice about classes, and join us in Sep-

tember as we continue to explore where the Holy Spirit leads us in transformation.

                                                                                                       8
                                                                                    Blessings and Peace - Becky
