Summer Brain Gain
Members Stay Sharp Over the Summer
According to research consolidated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, over the
course of one summer, children lose almost 2 months of math skills and potentially more
reading skills. Furthermore, children in low-income families have the potential experi-
ence more learning loss than their financially advantaged colleagues. Nearly 43 million
children do not have access to summer learning opportunities that can potentially min-
