Buddy Guy, straight out of Chicago blues, has
influenced several generations of guitar greats such
as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Keith
Richards, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark
Jr., and John Mayer.
The nine-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll
Hall of Famer has talked about retiring from touring a
few times, while he’s still at the top of the game. He
said he didn’t want to follow in the footsteps of BB
King, who, at the end, had to come out in a
wheelchair. Buddy turned eighty-seven in July.
