But tonight’s stage show was owned by
Buddy Guy. Sporting his signature polka
dots, the legendary performer proved that

“age is just a number” as he can still put
his guitar through its paces, including
such tricks as playing with his teeth, his
arms, and even his pelvis! Buddy is
famous for abandoning songs mid-stroke
and playing around with his guitar as if it
were a large yoyo and at eighty-seven,

he’s still able to move adeptly across the
large concrete stage. He started off the
show playing “Damn Right, I've Got the
Blues” and ended it with “The Same
Thing,” and covered many tunes by other
artists in between. He may not tour

anymore after this tour, but I can bet he’ll
still be performing in the smaller venues.
Overall, the concert was outstanding, and
the audience behaved themselves (for the
most part). I’m so glad I got to experience
the great Buddy Guy!
