As Puscifer fans well know, the details behind an album and
performance are all intentional. “It’s meant to confuse…to inspire
curiosity. People who are curious want to look into Puscifer more and
experience it for themselves. It’s not meant to be a comfortable
journey,” Round explained to ION Indie Magazine when asked about
the inspiration for the title of the livestream.
As the title implies, Billy D has emerged from the desert finding
himself in The Hall of the Feathered Serpents in Los Angeles,
California. “The Hall of Feathered Serpents” references the location
of the livestream, The Mayan Theatre, which features a sculpture by
Francisco Cornejo of the feathered serpent and Aztec deity
Quetzalcóatl.
Carina further explained that Puscifer prefers to choose
smaller venues known for their history and architecture as
part of the concert experience. “There is an element of
theater happening along with the music. It’s not meant to
be a rock club or arena experience. It’s a deliberate twist
so fans can be present and watch the show…take in the
whole experience.” The band didn’t want fans to lose that
aspect of the show through the livestream, so they chose
The Mayan. “Plus, it looks bad ass on the livestream.”
Round said.
Fans were treated to the same level of energy
and performance as they would see at a live
show. “The Luchadores will be making an
appearance,” Round reassured, when ION
Indie Magazine asked if the famous wrestling
scene from the original 2015 performance of
Money Shot would be re-imagined.
