Marty Haviik: Thank you, guys. It’s always nice to catch up with the band. Let’s first start off
with…what is the meaning of your band’s name?
Like A Villain: To be the hero but do it like a villain. It's about finding that balance of still being a good person
but not being a pushover either…reminiscent of an anti-hero.
MH: I really dislike defining band sound and style, but in these cases, for folks that haven't heard of
Like A Villain before, who would you all say the band sounds like?
LAV: A really heavy Rage Against The Machine is the primary comparison we get. I would also include artists
like Body Count, Stray From The Path, and Soulfly.
MH: Are those some of the band's influences?
LAV: I would say for some of us to a certain degree, yes. We listen to all genres, so influence is wide and
varies.
