Back to the band…these 4 performed two hours of lonesome country songs along with fiddle tunes,
including some traditional folk and country music, bluegrass, swing, and Americana. Evan has been
playing bass for over 40 years and has been performing and teaching in the Southern Arizona area
since 1996. Nick is a classically trained violinist. Based in California, he has also played throughout
Europe. His specialty is the swinging style of gypsy jazz violin. Alvin plays everything, including
banjo, slide guitar, harmonica, dobro, accordion, lap steel, mandolin, and pedal steel. He's also a
great singer, and I hear he even builds his own guitars. And Peter McLaughlin has toured nationally
and internationally, collaborating with artists such as Laurie Lewis and Chris Brashear. His first solo
album, “Cliffs of Vermilion,” was released in 1995, and he was inducted into the Tucson Musician’s
Museum in the Bluegrass/Americana category in 2013.
