Banks: Misunderstood

BANKS took the stage in a skin-colored and black corseted top, the spotlight shining down on her
while the beat dropped to her song “Misunderstood,” the opening track off her newly released
Serpentina album. Suddenly, the side stage lights glowed revealing her two back up dancers in all
black. The crowd cheered.
The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona, was one of the smaller venues (originally built as a showroom
for Phoenix Automotive with capacity at 1,900 people) BANKS played on her tour. She was on stage
at Lollapalooza in Chicago two weeks prior. BANKS and her back up dancers brought the same big
show energy to The Van Buren.
