Iggy Azalea released her first full-length album The New Classic in 2014. It
would be five years before Azalea would be able to release her next album. A
combination of personal issues and the desire to be an independent artist led
to a 5-year hiatus from touring and putting out music. Though Azalea was
writing songs, they could not be released until she was signed with a label.
