LH: Anthony, your production work has
been nominated for 3 Grammys – talk
about that process and what that meant to
                                                               you.

A&L: I have been very fortunate to work with
some amazing people in my 25-year musical
career. These projects were released on large

the world to me. I am a big believer in The
Recording Academy. To have three albums
that I mastered nominated for Grammy
awards has been great for my resume. Having
A&L chart across Europe has been great for
                                                               my mastering business, too.

LH: In today’s music, artists are put in a category. How would you define your sound?

A&L: This is a tough question. We are all over the place. Anthony is the primary songwriter.
He usually creates a demo and then everyone adds their musical ideas. Rich usually tracks
the drums first to set the foundation of the song. We all have distinct elements/influences that
show themselves in A&L songs. A&L is a pop/rock band. Our songs ‘Cliché’ and ‘Get Me a
Drink’ have been played on country radio. Our song ‘Singing My Life Away’ was in rotation on
numerous Top 40 radio stations all over the world. A&L releases singles rather than albums
and that allows us to follow our creative vision. That gives license to try new creative ideas
and experiment with our writing and recording.

LH: Your music has attained placement in the Euro Music Charts. How did you position
your music for that success overseas?

A&L: We lucked out and found some industry people in Europe that believe in us. Our music
is guitar-centric. Guitar is still a featured instrument in European pop music. We create very
radio-friendly songs. They fit perfectly in the Europe pop market. We have been working with
some great promoters that have helped us get our songs out to radio in Europe. The more
success that we have helps the promoters too.

LH: Lana, you are known for having sung jingles. Are there any we’d be familiar with?

A&L: If you are from Western New York you may recognize The Vinyl Outlet. It has been on
radio and TV for the past 10 years. I have recorded over a dozen with Anthony. Some other
projects include Superior Auto Sales, Niagara’s Community College, Pioneer Motorsport, and Big
             Indian Smoke Shop.
