Arnold Connelly is a very unique individual in the music
business. He is very selfless and goes out of his way to help
other independent artists promote their music. He is also
perhaps my biggest supporter with my radio show "My Kind
Of Country,” both a faithful listener and quick to spread the
word about the music I play on my shows. Arnold has a true
passion and respect for country music. His songs speak
about real life and matters of the heart to which we can all
relate. The songs are what really sets him apart from many
artists of today. I can honestly say that I would put his
songwriting skills right up there with the very best. He's that
good and his songs deserve to be heard.
Arnold was born in Michigan, grew up in Kentucky, and now
makes his home in New Jersey and works by day in the coal
mining industry. He often performs in the area with his band
Fire On The Wire. Arnold also released an album with this
group last year featuring all original tunes.
Arnold is also somewhat of a walking contradiction, taking a
loose, just-have-fun approach to his recordings. He doesn't
take himself too seriously when it comes to performing, but
his songs quickly bring listeners to the realization that Arnold
has come with both barrels loaded. His voice is a bit rough
around the edges, but he brings emotion and puts everything
he has into his lyrics.
For his newest release, his fourth, Arnold presents ten brand-
new originals. Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, with some
of the best studio musicians, these songs show a glimpse into
not only his own life, but in ours as well.
