Dusk is an all ages, family-friendly music festival that attracts a diverse crowd, with the
bulk of the attendees being college-age students. But the demographics also included
some younger and older folks (like myself) in attendance.

The music is what made this festival. Three stages kept the energy of music flowing. The
               first day, I experienced Drew Cooper, Junk James, A R I Z O N A, Shallou, Fitz and the
Tantrums, Enri, Thoolan, Wax Motif, What So Not, Whethan, and Kaskade. Day two
saw Dombresky, Malaa, Two Door Cinema Club, Tokimonsta, and Rezz, to close the
festival out. I especially enjoyed the band ARIZONA and Fitz and the Tantrums.

ARIZONA’s pop rock/electro pop performance and alternative indie sound was solid and
they provided the perfect musical backdrop for this Saturday afternoon. I’ve listened to
ARIZONA over the past year and was really happy to hear that they were performing
today. Even performing live, their sound was full and the set was tight, just like on their
               albums.

My other pick and musical stand-out, Fitz and the Tantrums, played in the evening on
Saturday and performed many of their popular hits, including “Hand Clap,”
“Moneygrabber,” “I Just Wanna Shine,” and “The Walker.” Backing vocalist Noelle
Scaggs mentioned that she wasn’t feeling well and was fighting a cold and lead vocalist
Michael Fitzpatrick shared a fun fact with their attentive audience -- that 11 years ago
today, the band performed at a popular local venue in Tucson (Club Congress) and that's
               where he met his wife.

All in all, the festival was exciting and the crowds were enthused and appreciative. I’ll
admit, by the end of the festival, this “older demographic” man was spent! All in all, I did
               enjoy myself.

If you are into festivals, then this is one you should not miss. And with a full year to
recharge and regroup, I’ll be looking forward to next year’s DUSK Music Festival.
