MARK DALY & THE RAVENS

are a very talented and fun bunch of guys that started their music careers
young. They are currently touring with one of the best in the business -- Geoff
Tate and Operation: Mindcrime. There is a lot to be said for this band -- from
the way they capture the audience with their various styles of music and
professionalism.

The lineup consists of musicians hailing from Ireland, Scotland, and the U.S., including Mark Daly
(lead vocals, acoustic guitar), James Brown (guitar), Jack Ross (bass guitar), and Michael Fechter
(drums). On September 27, 2019, I had the opportunity of talking with Mark Daly and the members
of his band.

Courtney Ludwig: Tell me about yourselves…how did you meet; how did you come together?

Mark Daly: I met James at a battle of the bands. Our bands were against each other years ago. I
would watch James on guitar and I really liked his style. I went over to do some demos with the bass
player of Operation: Mindcrime, Kieran, and met Jack, who also does bass in Operation: Mindcrime
as well. We became friends and toured the UK together in another band, Till Death Do Us Part,
which is Geoff Tate's daughter’s band. We hooked up and became besties.
