On the weekends, when we didn’t have to go to
school, I would wake up to their music loudly playing
on the radio with my dad playing the guitar and singing
along to their songs. Online streaming platforms didn’t
exist back then, so I would watch him sitting beside
the radio waiting for a song that he’s familiar with, and
he would sing along and play guitar…again and again.
On that days that my mom would take me to run
errands with her, our car rides mostly consist of an Air
Supply CD being played from track one to the end.
Although she’s a lot shier and more reserved
compared to my dad, she would still sing along -- but
at a very low volume and would mostly just hum. She
might think I don’t notice her, but I always did…ha-ha!
She still does it to this day, except, now she uses
Pandora/Spotify to listen to her music.
