Cimonti, (pronounced as chi-mon-tee) is a play on the words “si Monty” in Tagalog and in English,
which means “It’s Monty.” “Monty” is a name that a friend of the band constantly mentions during
conversations, with the band not really knowing who “Monty” was…that is, until they were made
aware that “Monty” was actually a famous vocalist in the Philippines. This soon became an inside
joke by the group. Thus, whenever an unfamiliar name comes up during discussions, the name
“Monty” is referenced.
