Being in the health care field, I’ve grown to love the TV medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy.”
One could say that I am obsessed with it! And being obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy means
you’ve also grown to love alternative rock group Snow Patrol for their iconic song “Chasing
Cars.”
Just by hearing the first few notes played on the guitar during the intro of that song gives
me goosebumps. Ever since the first time that I heard it played on the first few Grey’s
Anatomy episodes, I’ve fallen in love with the song. I still feel the same to this day. I’m still
in love with their music and I still experience the nostalgic chills and butterflies to my
stomach whenever I listen to them.
I have been following Snow Patrol since then and I continue to love the unique sound of
the band. It’s the perfect music to listen to when there’s heavy rain pouring outside and the
couch has become your companion for the day…although I live in sunny California where
it rarely rains, but, you get the point. It’s a sound that comforts and heals. For me, the
songs have a calming and soothing effect after a busy day at work.
