I would be remiss not to give well-deserved
recognition to Keith Weber from Austin, Texas,
who provides authentic western vocals on "I
Hear You Knockin" and "Ocean Of Tears.” Also,
Jen Zias, who flawlessly delivers the harmonies
– her vocal work is so close to Solitaire's that I
mistakenly thought Solitaire simply
overdubbed her own parts. I would later find
out that Solitaire and Jen have worked together
for many years and even had the same vocal
instructor, hence the closeness in their voices.
Bravo!
With the renewed popularity of the vinyl record
my wish would be that "Bye Bye Blues" could be
pressed as an LP. These songs deserve the
warmth of a record's grooves and it would be
an ultimate experience for me to sit by my
turntable with a cigarette, a seven and seven
drink, reading the liner notes and relishing in
the ambiance of this incredible album.
