Where do you think this album ranks amongst other Nektar albums?

Every album we did have a special place in my heart. This one is right up there with the
best we did back in the day. I think this one will make a big impact after so many years. For
me, the last album was 1977, “Magic Is A Child”, which was the album we did with Dave
Nelson, who stepped in after Roye left to go back to Europe. I think it was underrated, but
with it being the first album with a new line up, I understood the reasons and today it is a
respected album. I feel the album, to gauge this one with is, “Recycled”, our last epic and I
think it stands right up there with it. It is a double vinyl album and single CD with upwards of
68 minutes. I can’t wait for all of you to hear it.

So, you are guys are planning a world tour. Any upcoming gigs?

Our first gig will be ProgStock October 13 and that will be our “coming out”. We have a 1
½ hour show planned with a mix of classic Nektar music and music from the new album. In
the new year, we will embark on short tours to bring the band to the people. We have
opted for intimate venues so we can be close and up front with our Nektarines, as we
fondly call our fans. Venues will be 100 - 400 capacity with multiple shows where needed.
The music and lights will be more intense and we are looking forward to bringing this out to
show all of you. We will rehearse 3 hours plus of music, new and old, and will vary our
shows every night so if someone wants to come to 2 shows at the same place, the show
will be different. We are also planning for some festivals next year; however, we have to
play when it is dark to get the best effect from the lightshow.
