RK: The first thing my wife and I say to each other
every morning in bed when we wake up is, ‘I love
you.’ Even when I’m away, it’s the first thing we say
to each other on the phone in the morning. We have
a live concert streaming event coming up Tuesday,
                     th
August 18 , called Streaming for Vengeance. It is
not a ‘sit in our living room and play.’ It is a full
production event put on by BraveWords, the
Midwest’s largest production company. There will
be no less than six cameras, full lights, and full
          sound production.

We have a site, www.patreon.com/RonKeel, that
provides different subscription levels. You can
stream my radio show, Streets of Rock N Roll, on
demand, get access to things that you just won’t
find other artists doing, guitar and vocal lessons,
live video chats, merch giveaways, direct personal
          messaging, VIP access at shows.

Thank you for the support! Thank you for the great
album review! You have a great magazine.

JP: You actually took the time to read it?

RK: Yes. I read it all.

As we ended our conversation/interview, I felt
compelled to include a few more things. Ron Keel
has worn the hats of multiple genres in his musical
career. He is home. He is comfortable. He is the
“Metal Cowboy,” and the “Keelaholics,” as he calls
them, seem quite happy about it. Ron’s support of
his wife is what marriage is to be made of, as is her
support of him and his music. He was there for her
during her illness. Long trip touring stopped. The
band still got together and played. As Renee lost
her hair from the chemotherapy, the Metal Cowboy
shaved his head, not something you would ever
think of seeing out of a long-haired rocker. Renee’s
support of Ron and his music are also unbreakable.
As a cancer survivor and an at-risk individual during
the Coronavirus pandemic, she still wants him
playing live shows because it makes him happy,
which in turn, makes her happy. They are spouses,
partners, and friends. It’s refreshing to spend an
evening conversing with a guy like Ron Keel. Our
world needs more of his kind.
