"Miss Country Soul" Jeannie Seely is a country music legend in every aspect. Besides
being a Grand Ole Opry member for 53 years and charting dozens of Billboard hit songs,
this music icon is a Grammy Award winner. Her signature song "Don't Touch Me" is ranked
at No. 97 in the book “Country Music’s 500 Greatest Singles,” which is published by the
Country Music Foundation Press.
With Jack Greene, Jeannie formed one of the most successful duos and road shows in
country music history; performing everywhere from New York’s Madison Square Garden
to London’s Wembley Arena. The duo received several Grammy nominations and are
considered one of the most successful duos in the genre to this day.
As a songwriter, Jeannie’s songs have been recorded by such icons as Faron Young,
Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubb, Little Jimmy Dickens, Dottie West,
Connie Smith, Lorrie Morgan, Jack Greene, and the list goes on.
Never one to slow down, Jeannie is also the host of the "Sundays With Seely" radio show
on “Willie's Roadhouse” at Sirius XM Radio. In addition, she has released a new album
that covers Paul McCartney, debuts a previously unfinished Dottie West song, and, after
decades of friendship, features a duet with Willie Nelson, "Not A Dry Eye In The House,”
which is the first single released from this project. The classic country ballad was written
by singer/songwriter Dallas Wayne, who also serves as an on-air personality on Sirius
XM.
