        Drawbacks

While he says he wouldn’t exactly call them “negatives,”
Fuller points out several drawbacks to the wakeboarding
operation. For one (again, a familiar theme), the sport is
weather dependent and cannot operate when there is light-
ning. Even so, the staff is “well aware of how to handle a
thunderstorm,” he said, adding that because it’s a water
sport, rain doesn’t seem to bother participants. The other
drawback, or rather “opportunity,” Fuller says, is one he Drew Broderick
hopes will change as the park’s longevity grows: educating
        people about wakeboarding.
“It wasn’t as easy as finding people who knew how to
wakeboard already, because those people typically do it behind Ultimately, the key to that is the same thing that’s

a lot would transfer over because it’s easier, quicker, and more “Once you do it,” said Fuller, “You realize it is incredibly
efficient on a cable. But boaters have a variety of reasons for fun. And you stop thinking or wondering about it. You sim-
