Kampong Glam Heritage
This design is inspired by Singapore’s Istana Kampong Gelam,
today’s Malay Heritage Centre, which was once the seat of the
Johor sultanate. Spot gelam (cajeput) trees for which the
precinct is named after, pinang (areca palm) trees, and the now
rare sukun (breadfruit) trees whose fruits are a Malay cuisine
favorite. Geometric patterns from the museum’s beautiful
grounds complete this whimsical landscape.
