The Splendour of Peranakan Colours
Peranakan culture is a fascinating fusion of immigrant ways of
life with those of Southeast Asia. Its vibrancy has captivated
many with its fusion cuisine, animated patois, colourful kebayas
and curious rituals. This delightful scarf design is inspired by the
exquisite Peranakan needlework featuring floral and animal
motifs. The design also features the eclectic Classical-style
façade of the museum, the former Tao Nan school and a
national monument of Singapore.
