Working from the Pub
All our brewpubs have a relaxed, friendly
atmosphere, and we are seeing a really nice
daytime community of both freelancers and
people who have either not returned to the
office yet or are only in part, enjoying our
WorkSpaces.
My thoughts are that we still have a way to
extend the perception of the ‘pub’ – not just
is it a great place to go for amazing drinks &
food, but it is also a great, safe, comfortable,
and welcoming space that you can go and
do your work or host a meeting. ‘
Brew House and Kitchen offer home workers
a perfect office alternative.
Gail Bunn from Brew House and Kitchen told
Somethings Brewing about their established
creative solution.
‘We launched our WorkSpaces at B&K initiative just
after reopening from lockdown and they are
continuing to grow in popularity.
With more and more people working from home,
either on a full-time basis or just for part of the
week, the need for a great space to work has
increased. For the most part, coffee shops were
addressing this need, but as anyone who has tried
to host a Zoom or Teams call whilst a group of
mums and babies are enjoying a meet-up close by,
it’s not ideal, and that’s where we come in.
Now, as an avid coffee drinker and a female, my
first thought is probably not that my local brewpub
would meet my needs, but I’d be wrong….we serve
great coffees, have fast WiFi, dedicated ‘Work
Space’ tables (which have power sockets and are in
quiet areas), and we offer a great ‘Work Space’
lunch deal which includes unlimited drinks over a 3
hour period and a meal. Many of our brewpubs
also have private function rooms with the latest AV
technology where you can host meetings.
