Sleep out for RESTART LIVES in 2024
On Friday, December 6th, 2024, Jon Townsend (BSA & SCA
member) will be spending a night on the streets of London in

support of RESTART LIVES, a charity dedicated to helping
people experiencing homelessness.
For Jon, it’s just one night - but for thousands, it’s an everyday
reality, with no choice but to sleep rough.

With the rise in homelessness across the UK, raising awareness
and funds to support those without shelter is more critical than
ever. That’s why I’m stepping up to this challenge - to help
“restart lives” and make a difference.
Every year the staff, volunteers and supporters of Restart Lives spend one night outside,
experiencing some of the conditions that rough sleepers face day in and day out. Although there
is much that separates the experience of the controlled environment of the Sleepout from that of
a person living life on the streets, we hope the event will help you to imagine what London's
homeless have to contend with.

Vendex North Leeds has it most successful exhibition
Established in 2003, Vendex is the premier event for the UK
vending industry, attracting serious buyers eager or keen to see
the latest innovations on offer from machine manufacturers,

ingredient suppliers and distributors of products, equipment and
allied services, together with major brand names. Vendex has
become a truly international exhibition, attracting exhibitors and
visitors from around the world.

Phil Reynolds, organiser said, “What a success Vendex North was, held recently at the Centenery
Pavillion, Leeds United Football Club.This was the biggest Vendex to date with one hundred and
thirty exhibition stands filling the Pavillion.” He continued, “We had tremendous feedback from
exhibitors’ and visitors. We are looking forward to Vendex Midlands 2025 at the MK Dons NOVEMBER/DECEMBER. 2024 | ISSUE 39
